Continuing the saga of the Dimitrov/Sagar collaborative efforts, here we meet up with two pieces from their 'Reniform'. While the previous collabs, of which two were released by the respectable Sonospace (other for post global and Lagerstaette), are more kind of abstracted ambience in nature, on 'Reniform' there is a clear distinction in the more sort of improv sense for direction. Things crackle and pop, the sounds are melting and squeezed in a sort of a mesh up, but never over the top. Things never explode into harsh noise in these two pieces, although the noisy aspect of the sound is also omni-present. Think of it in a japanese way, possibly the onkyo style, like the sound of emptiness, like for example reading the prose of Haruki Murakami in his novel 'Kafka on the shore'. Sort of a transparent feeling. Even a distant melody is present in the second piece. It is well achieved in the music of 'Reniform'.

Jared Sagar is a producer/composer born in 1977 and residing in the United Kingdom. In his various soundworks he concentrates in bringing out intensity, chaos and isolation. His sounds are mostly made from field recordings then manipulated, fragmented, pulled apart, then put back together to form a new sonic soundscape. There is no focus on time as such, nothing syncopated, the focus is purely on sound itself, the textures involved and the emotion found in it. His compositions can be formless beats, drones, noise, ambience, basically sculptured sound focusing on time and space.
