In Memoriam was conceived between March - April 2017. This album focuses primarily on sound itself, urging the listener to concentrate on these moments captured in time, moments for introspection, moments to dream perhaps. There are ambient sections within these pieces which bring about a certain stillness yet retaining emotion and a subtle intensity.
The majority of the sound was made out of field recordings but transformed through various techniques and processes to establish a new, fresh, creative noise.

Jared Sagar is a British composer of experimental music, working mainly in the microsound, granular synthesis and ambient style, but also in others such as drone, field recordings and electro-acoustic. Although a late starter to this kind of genre, he had been experimenting for a number of years with the manipulation of sound and what could be done with it. As a starting point he usually uses field recordings then resamples them and manipulates these beyond recognition. His work is often abstract, minimal in nature as to highlight textures, shapes and forms. Sounds are ever evolving, non-rhythmical, morphing and merging with stillness, intensity and a rawness of emotion.
